Maps and Parking Information for the College Park Campus. General Information The Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics has offices and laboratories in the Energy Research Facility and the A.V. Williams Building. The administrative offices, machine shop, and experimental laboratories are housed in the Energy Research Facility (Bldg. 223); the Theory Group, Chaos Group, and others are located on the third floor of the AVW Building (Bldg. 115). Please check IREAP's personnel webpage for the location of persons you may wish to visit. The University of Maryland is located just a few miles northeast of Washington, D.C., 30 miles (45 km) south of Baltimore, and 30 miles (45 km) west of Annapolis. Directions to IREAP from the Capital Beltway From the Capital Beltway, Rt. 495, take Exit 25 (Route 1 South) to College Park. Follow Route 1 South approximately 1 mile and bear right to University Blvd, Route 193 West. Make a left turn at the first traffic light (Paint Branch Drive). After turning, stay in the left lane. IREAP is the first building on the left side after the large student parking lots. The A.V. Williams Bldg. is the next building on the left side. Parking Parking is available (hourly fee) in the Paint Branch Drive visitor lot across the street from the Energy Research Facility (Bldg. 223). |
