Oleksandr Sinitsyn received a Diploma of Specialist in Radio Physics (With Honors) in June 2000 from the V. Karazin Kharkiv National University in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He received both a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (December 2002) and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Electrical Engineering (December 2005) from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.

Dr. Sinitsyn is presently an Assistant Research Scientist at the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics. His research interests include the theory and design of high-power microwave sources, computational methods of physics, and wave propagation in plasmas.
