Dr. Erin Rericha is a Research Associate in the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics at the University of Maryland, College Park. She received a B.S. in Physics from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX in 1997 and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX in 2004. She is the recipient of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Interfaces in Sciences Award (2007). She is a member of the American Society for Cell Biology, the Biophysical Society, the American Physical Society, and Sigma Pi Sigma.

Dr. Rericha's research interests include studying how the sensing and motility machinery within cells are integrated to allow for directed cell migration, In particular, how the cell responds to changes in the external environment and how the crowded cell interior effects relaxation of local perturbations.
